Company has opened a sales office in Tempe and will hire 200 employees

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – GuideWell Connect, a leader in integrated engagement solutions across the health care industry, announced it has opened an office in Tempe, Ariz., to serve its growing portfolio of West Coast clients. The company, based in Jacksonville, Fla., will hire up to 200 employees to work in and manage the new sales office.

GuideWell Connect helps health plans adapt to an increasingly consumer-driven health insurance market. The company doubled its revenue from 2015 to 2017, and currently serves health plan clients in California, Washington, Alaska, Connecticut, Florida, New York, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

By establishing its new location in closer proximity to the West and Pacific Northwest, GuideWell Connect will be able to serve its growing customer base in the region more efficiently and effectively. Additionally, the company’s geographic diversification will aid in service continuity for weather-related issues that may arise in Florida, particularly during hurricane season.

“We have created a unique culture at GuideWell Connect, and our employees take to heart their important role in helping our customers understand their health care options,” said Scott Paddock, president of GuideWell Connect. “After reviewing several locations in the Midwest and Western U.S., we discovered the talent pool available in Tempe was a perfect complement to our existing team in Florida.”

GuideWell Connect has leased 14,000 square feet in Fountainhead Business Park, located at 1601 W. Fountainhead Pkwy. The company will staff approximately 100 full-time positions, with an additional 100 seasonal jobs added during the health insurance open enrollment period, which runs from October through December. The company will offer employees three weeks of fully paid training to obtain their insurance sales license. Once licensed, employees will earn a competitive hourly salary, with the potential to earn an additional 30 percent in incentive pay.

“Being a licensed sales agent in the health care market has a higher purpose. You are helping people make a big decision in their lives that can provide peace of mind for themselves and their families,” said Jackie Coffey, vice president of telemarketing and engagement for GuideWell Connect. “We hire employees who are interested in a career, not just a job. This is an opportunity for someone to get in on the ground floor with a rewarding career and have the potential to grow into leadership positions within the organization.”

GuideWell Connect’s call center was named the No. 1 in-bound call center by Benchmark Portal, and has been certified for the past seven years as a center of excellence and among the top 10 percent of contact centers in North America.
