J. Mark McConnell is CEO at GuideWell Connect, a consumer engagement company that includes Onlife Health, as well as CEO of PopHealthCare. With 30 years in the health care industry, Mark has served organizations with employee health initiatives, built mobile and digital assets for remote monitoring, and worked with numerous consumer tools for health, wellness and disease management. With the evolution of wellness and technology creating new opportunities to engage with members, Mark is well qualified to lead multiple executive teams in developing innovative ways to leverage product and infrastructure integration, create efficiencies and improve outcomes for clients, while also growing the business.

Prior to his role at GuideWell Connect, Mark led the team at Onlife Health as President and CEO and led the sale of Onlife Health to GuideWell Connect in February of 2019.  Established in 1996, Onlife brings end-to-end simplicity to population health and wellness, connecting and integrating people, technology, and benefit design through a user-friendly engagement platform to guide members to the next right thing to do in their health care journey.  Before his appointment as President and CEO, Mark served as VP and Chief Revenue Officer, leading the company’s sales effort, with additional responsibilities of business development and building strategic relationships with employers and health plan clients.

Earlier in his career, Mark served as SVP for remote patient monitoring company AMC Health, SVP at Healthways where he founded the Employer Solutions Group, and SVP, Business and Corporate Development at HealthFitness, where he was part of the executive team that sold HealthFitness to Trustmark Insurance.  Mark’s portfolio of leadership success also includes Health Plan Manager at General Motors Corporation, where he was involved with GM’s value-based purchasing, disease management and supplier development efforts in coordination with the National Business Coalition on Health.  He also spent time as part of the Mobile Health Strategy and Development group with Verizon Enterprise Solutions.

Mark has served on numerous Boards and Committees, has a BA from Muskingum College and an MBA from State University of New York at Buffalo.
