Augmented reality experience “The Amazing Heart Race” receives a Gold Stevie
GuideWell Connect was awarded another Gold Stevie from the American Business Association for our augmented reality experience “The Amazing Heart Race”. The experiential activation, designed originally for our client Florida Blue, was touted as the Marketing Campaign of the Year in Healthcare- Disease Education and Awareness.
The Amazing Heart Race is an interactive experience that engages consumers in a multi-sensory game on heart health. Designed to drive heart health education and influence consumers actions, the game uses the latest technology to superimpose information — sounds, images, and text — on the world we see.
The activation is designed as a race, with four consumers playing against one another in blood cell buggies through the ventricles of a large human heart. Along the way, racers are educated on overall heart health, rewarded by points to capture healthy choices, or “goodies”, and encouraged to steer clear from unhealthy habits, or “baddies”. Aiming for “goodies” will give the player strength, speed, and points which will inspire more healthy choices. If a player hits a “baddie” their speed will decrease, and they will lose points as the buggy experiences the negative side effects of unhealthy habits.
